Edgewater beach advisory lifted after bacteria test

A swimming advisory at Edgewater Beach was lifted Saturday after follow-up water samples showed bacteria levels had returned to within state safety standards.

The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District said the elevated reading earlier in the week was likely driven by storm runoff following heavy rain. The next round of routine sampling is scheduled for early next week.
